About

The Veterans@VMware UK-based Charities Fund represents a collection of the charities to which the UK-based POD members regularly support, work with and donate. If you're ever struggling to think which UK-based charity to donate to, this presents a simple solution to allow you to donate to multiple meaningful charities.

Your Donation Supports

VETERANS IN ACTION

UK POD Members regularly support VIA with both donations and Service Learning. As an organisation, they have developed their own unique Program called ALIVE based on the studies into Adventure and Wilderness Therapy. This includes a Centre Based Element and Outdoor Element with veterans participating in ALIVE encouraged to take part in fundraising events as a way of engaging with the public within their immediate community and in different areas around the country. This enables local veterans from one locale to meet and discuss the organisation and its merits with individuals from other areas of the UK, already embarked on their own expeditions.

Being involved with the ALIVE Programme, veterans once again begin to learn that despite what they may be going through, they can still ACHIEVE remarkable things and grow as an individual and as part of a team, just like they once did in the military.

More recently, with the terrible situation in Ukraine, VIA has been putting its expedition vehicles and skills to good use by delivering much-needed aid.

Like many charities, with the cost of living crisis biting, VIA has been struggling with funds to continue their great work helping both veterans and others in need.

MISSION MOTORSPORT

UK POD Members support the Mission Motorsport National Transition Event, which brings together MoD, service leavers, veterans & family members with employers to aid successful, sustainable transition & networking opportunities for the Armed Forces community. Our EMEA VP, CTO and POD Executive Sponsor Joe Baguley has also recently joined the Mission Motorsport board of trustees.

More widely Mission Motorsport aids in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations by providing opportunities through motorsport and the automotive industry
