Why? The purpose is to raise as many funds for cancer support associations across the globe as possible, whilst creating awareness. Cisco Poland’s chosen charity is Rak’n’Roll Fundation. The Fundraising campaign starts in May and lasts until end of June 2022. Who? Our initiative is aimed at providing the opportunity for Cisco employees, their families and friends to come together as a community and replicate the adventure of hiking the famous pilgrims' way in north-western Spain while raising funds for different Cancer Support Associations across Europe. Over 400 people from 21 countries are training to join in the adventure. During the period of the Camino, the combined team will walk more than 60,000 km, or 37,000 miles, equivalent to walking around the equator of the earth, and keeping going until getting halfway around again. Many of us know that November means MOvember which is a global community making a difference in mental health & suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Cisco's Men For Inclusion (Poland) is organizing a series of events focused on awareness on such topics and will give the opportunity for all Cisco employees (participants or not) to donate to such cause. All donations will go to Rak’n’Roll Foundation, a foundation that changes the pattern of thinking about cancer and works to improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
