Gathering people who strive to make disability meaningless, we are building a world free of physical, psychological, and perceptual barriers. Since 2015, the nonprofit organization MUUI has been steadfastly working alongside individuals with physical and psychological disabilities, championing their right to mobility and leading the way toward a more inclusive and healthier society.

Wheelchair handball is a dynamic and inclusive sport that is, of course, played in a wheelchair. This sport makes handball accessible to people with physical disabilities, allowing everyone to experience handball in their own way. The rules of the game are almost the same as in regular handball. Wheelchair handball is open to both athletes with and without disabilities. With this fundraising effort, we aim to purchase wheelchairs.

The Blackbird Foundation is dedicated to helping families that have children with special needs obtain the necessary medical and developmental equipment or therapy services when they are unavailable through insurance

Rick Foundation is committed to lend wheelchair bikes to people who are not able to ride a bicycle on their own such as elderly people or people with a disability. The Rick Foundation is completely dependent on funds and donations. Money is needed for the purchase, maintenance, insurance and renewal of the bicycles.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), recognized around the world on December 3rd of each year, promotes the mobilization of awareness and support surrounding the challenges and barriers people with disabilities face on a daily basis. IDPD aims to highlight the importance of visibility across all systems and communities in an effort to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities, with the ultimate goal of achieving an accessible and inclusive world for all.

Dear VMware colleagues, Being inspired by the charity causes & missions of Vietbay Teens, a group of teenage kids from many high schools in the Bay Area, I'm currently helping them with organizing their annual charity fundraising event and the celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival for children in the Bay Area. Hence, I would like to ask for your support of their fundraising campaign happening in the upcoming October. Witnessing many heartbreaking stories of victim families during the peak of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, this group of high school students formed back in 2021 with the mission to provide support and remedy the consequence of the pandemic. They organized fundraising events, worked both in-person and overseas with many non-profit organizations in Vietnam to support hospitals and COVID patients. As a result of their initiatives in last two years, they were able to sponsor thousands of N95 masks for hospitals in Vietnam and dozens of thousands of FREE meals for COVID-19 patients in 2021 and cancer patients in 2022 who are in difficult situations. This year, they will work with the Hearts for Hue Foundation, a NGO in Vietnam ( https://heartsforhue.org/ ) in supporting people with disabilities and healthcare and educational initiatives. Additionally, a portion of raised money is also used to organize the culture activities in Mid-Autumn Festival for the children & families in the Bay Area. Being a volunteer in helping with their activities, I am touched by their activities & missions and I personally made my donations for their charity causes and hope that I can do more to help. Your generous contributions will help to change the lives of those who are in disabilities and disadvantaged conditions including improving in their health & education. Project Northwest Foundation (Проект Северозапад) is starting a campaign to support young people with intellectual difficulties through art therapy and scholarship. The money will be used to buy materials, to hire teachers and provide scholarship. В нея терапевтична подкрепа и занимания получават младежи с интелектуални затруднения, израснали в институция. За тях, ежедневните занимания в работилницата са възможност да придобиват умения, самочувствие. Те живеят изолирани, нямат на практика друг контакт с външния свят. По-голямата част от тях са поставени под запрещение, което означава, че нямат право на собствени решения, собствен бюджет, самостоятелно придвижване и т.н. Работата в работилницата и с нашите колеги им позволяват да имат пълноценни преживявания, контакти и среща с хора. За тях организираме посещения на събития, изложби и други. Можете да видите изработени от тях продукти. Средствата са ни необходими за осигуряване на арт терапевт, за организиране на тяхна изложба, за закупуване на материали. Когато преди 5 години започнахме да работим с тях, те бяха неуверени, нямаха умения да общуват. Днес те участват в различни базари, презентират своите произведения. Частично успявае да покриваме разходи от продажба на техни продукти, като 30% от средствата се използват за осигуряване на стипендии за тях. We believe that being different is not a disadvantage, but an advantage and an opportunity. Difference is a unique feature of children, adults, and other living beings. But to see him without fear, you have to befriend him. One of our ways of discovering the diversity of the children in our care is to provide them with constant contact with nature. To discover and to see the beauty, to enjoy and calm. We know from our experience that they adore the mountain, with its coolness and walks in the forest, and the sea, which fills them with countless good experiences. Nature, silence, sun, and accumulated emotions during their camps contribute to the peace and enjoyment of their holidays. The stories about the moments experienced in nature is proof that even children with disabilities, whose most of their lives have passed in specialized institutions, can be happy, fulfilled and continue to develop. Through your support, we will provide the next holiday for 36 children and young people with disabilities and mental suffering, so that we can continue to provide them with the emotion of contact with nature and its tranquility, to develop their senses and sensitivity. Financial goal: 10 000 USD (36 kids * 278 USD)

True Love for Special Need Families , otherwise known as “True Love”, is a non-profit organization focus on providing love and support to kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Under the leadership of Kelly Shen along with the collective effort of other families affected by autism, they created True Love. The core values of True Love are to: a. Bring attention to special needs individuals in the Chinese American community; Increase the recognition, understanding and support of the challenges faced by children with special needs and their families. b. Build a social platform for these children and their families so that we can face these challenges together and grow as a community. At the same time, we seek to gather funds to support these families financially and emotionally. c. Provide scholarships along with volunteering and job opportunities for people who want to help special needs children. The organization will also provide medical assistance to Chinese communities. d. Develop a comprehensive living community for those with special needs to provide a place for them to work, socialize and live in for the rest of their lives by partnering with other organizations or companies. e. Increase communication between Chinese autism organizations, American autism organizations, and mainstream American society.

The Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act, signed into law on July 26, 1990, prohibits the discrimination of Americans with disabilities. The ADA ensures protections for people with disabilities, both physical and mental, in several spheres including employment, public transportation/public spaces, communications, and government-rendered services and programming, among others. The ADA's ultimate goal is to ensure that people with disabilities are afforded equal opportunities to participate in public life with necessary accommodations and without discrimination based on their disability. The following organizations are doing the critical work to ensure that the protections afforded by the ADA are upheld, and that those who have faced unlawful discrimination based on their disability have access to support and resources. Additionally, these organizations are advocating for additional protections for those with disabilities under the ADA as needed, increasing public visibility of those with disabilities, and promoting inclusive and accessible spaces. Your donation to this Fund, in honor of the ADA's signing anniversary, will help each of these organizations work towards their shared mission of creating equitable, accessible, and welcoming communities for all.

Helen Keller was an American humanitarian, author, and activist who is widely known for her wide array of accomplishments despite contracting an illness at 19 months old which ultimately left her both deaf and blind. Keller went on to pursue a successful career as a writer and lecturer as well as within the sociopolitical sphere, advocating for women's suffrage and world peace while campaigning on behalf of those living with disabilities. Keller worked for the American Foundation for the Blind and co-founded the American Civil Liberties Union, and her legacy lives on through the work of the organizations included in this Fund. In celebration of Keller's birthday on June 27th, Bright Funds created the Helen Keller Birthday Fund. This Fund is spotlighting organizations who are doing the critical work of advocating for people with disabilities through education, policy, research and direct services. The organizations in this Fund have a collective goal of ensuring that people with disabilities have access to the resources and supports they need in order to succeed within communities that are equitable and accessible for all.

As part of the Ireland and Egypt Community day we are inviting 2 Non-profits to visit us in Cork to share how they are working to make the world a more accessible place for their service users.

A volunteer and a Guest will take a bike tour together around village of (in this case) Nuenen. The Guests can be elderly people or people with some disability which cannot cycle on their own. Fietsmaatjes is located in many cities or villages.

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is celebrated annually on the 21st of March and is a global awareness day that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. To celebrate and raise awareness your Ireland and Egypt Community are hosting a very special event live from Kavanagh Canteen in Cork, at 12pm on March 22, 2023. As part of this event we invite our colleagues to make donations to this fund which will be equally distributed to 3 chosen Non-Profits supporting children and adults with Down syndrome locally and internationally
